Jesuit and historian Diego de Rosales in his Historia Jeneral del Reyno de Chile. Flandes Indiano (“General History of the Kingdom of Chile. Indigenous Flanders”, ca. 1674) recorded the mythical tradition of the site of Tagua-Tagua in the central area of Chile that was communicated to him by the Araucanians that refers to the destruction of a group of people after a catastrophic event that was warned by two heavenly beings –two beautiful young men (…) with clothes and facial features that have never been seen before and of such admirable beauty and seriousness that in fact they were angels (…)–.
These angels anticipated a catastrophic event that by the time of De Rosales and of later scholars and historians was thought to be only a “myth” yet it is what nowadays is known as “Clovis Comet Impact” that took place around 12.900 years ago.
Who were the angels in human form? How possibly could they have known about the destruction/catastrophe with chronological precision?
The destiny of these messengers became unknown after their announcement of the Great Catastrophe as they, the angels, vanished in the timeless dimension of the mythical times.

Ecos de la catástrofe cósmica: La extinción del pueblo de Tagua-Tagua
El jesuita e historiador Diego de Rosales en su Historia General del Reyno de Chile. Flandes Indiano (Ca. 1674) registró la tradición mítica del sitio de Tagua-Tagua en la zona central de Chile que le fue comunicada por los araucanos y que refiere la destrucción de un grupo de personas luego de un evento catastrófico que fue advertido por dos seres celestiales –dos hermosos jóvenes (…) con ropas y rasgos faciales nunca antes vistos y de tan admirable belleza y seriedad que en realidad eran ángeles (…)–.
Estos ángeles anticiparon un evento catastrófico que en la época de De Rosales y de estudiosos e historiadores posteriores se pensaba que era solo un “mito” y es lo que hoy se conoce como el “Impacto del Cometa Clovis” que tuvo lugar hace alrededor de 12.900 años.
¿Quiénes eran los ángeles en forma humana? ¿Cómo fue posible que supieran de la destrucción/catástrofe con precisión cronológica?
El destino de estos mensajeros se volvió desconocido después de su anuncio de la Gran Catástrofe, ya que ellos, los ángeles, desaparecieron en la dimensión atemporal de los tiempos míticos.
