Beyond the totemic-shamanic nature, the “Dance of the Ñandú” or “Ostrich” of the Araucanians of Chile would correspond to an evocation of the tradition of the “Winged-Men” of American antiquity, that is, to a reminiscence of the extraterrestrial gods of the PaleoSETI historiography initiated by Erich von Däniken.
